Will you become our new integrator and are you ready for a challenging role within a growing and innovative organization? We are looking for you!
A day as System Integrator
You start your day with a cup of coffee, after which you continue developing a new feature that allows one to recover the robot from an error state more easily. You have almost finished the feature, but some complicated adjustments are needed. You discuss the best way of implementation with a direct colleague. Together you make an implementation plan and ensure this plan is executed. You test the feature in a simulation. It seems to work well, so it is time to test the feature on an actual robot.
After the lunch walk, you start the test on a robot. However, the moment you want to start the test, you discover that a colleague from the service department has trouble solving a malfunction at a customer. As you have worked on the development of that product, you decide to help out. After some research you discover the cause of the malfunction, ensure a quick fix and put it in the backlog so the problem will be solved thoroughly. The customer has no more malfunctions!
You continue the testing of your feature. You soon discover it does not work perfectly yet. You try to figure out why and discover that the problem lies within the driver for controlling the robot. The issue lies deep within the software. You are not sure how this works exactly, so you consult one of the software developers and make sure the problem is solved. This way you improve both the driver and your feature, and make sure both perform as they should. You create merge-requests that are picked up by the right people. You check whether these result in the desired behavior and give your approval. Great, this means the feature is finished in time and can be included in the next release!
